WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - Last week seemed to kick-off a huge season of VBD tournament coverage. In fact, on Sunday, VBD had one of its most visited days ever. Thank you for your support!

According to the calendar we have here on VBD, there is one tournament this weekend, The Meadows School’s Battle for the Belt. I have a difficult time believing that this is the only debate happening in the country. ADDISON, TX - David McGough from Greenhill School and Allison Huberlie from Hollis-Brookline High School each won their division and advanced to the final round of the Greenhill Round Robin. The decision was 5-2 for David on the affirmative. Congratulations to both!

ADDISON, TX - After two days of intense debate among some of the nation’s finest, Daniel Cory and Patrick Mahoney met in the final round of the Greenhill Fall Classic. On a 3-2 decision, the judges awarded the championship to Patrick.

Corey Metzman Wins Wake Forest LD Title; Stratford Wins Policy

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Congratulations to the finalists at the Wake Forest National Earlybird! Montgomery Bell Academy’s Corey Metzman and Alhambra High School’s Jeffrey Shoung were scheduled to meet in a final round, but due to flight times, Jeffrey chose to forfeit, and the tournament staff declared Corey the champion.
