I’m in the midst of getting materials together for a topic analysis for Bronx Science debaters, as well as compiling quite a few things to be uploaded to the new Victory Briefs Wiki, so it’s time for me to take a brief break from posting for the day and start this Completely Open Thread.

To continue my trend — okay, I’ve only done it once, but whatever — of beginning the Completely Open Thread with a movie commentary, I just want to note that it was announced today that Heath Ledger will be playing the Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins. Forgive me if I am skeptical that Ledger’s performance will come close to Jack Nicholson’s.

Superman Returns has amazing visual and plot continuity with the original two films, and A Scanner Darkly may be the most faithful adaptation of a Philip K. Dick movie in history. (This is coming from someone who lists Blade Runner as perhaps his favorite movie outside the Star Wars series.)
