Zachary Taylor Wins Pennsylvania State Title
SELINSGROVE, Penn. — The 2010 Pennsylvania High School Speech League State Championship was held at Susquehanna University this weekend. In the final round, Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy’s Zachary Taylor defeated La Salle College High School’s Sean Janda on a 5-0 decision to take the state title. Congratulations to both debaters!
Twenty-four entries qualified from the thirteen PHSSL Districts; the tournament broke to a quarterfinal round.
Zachary is coached by Brad Taylor, Hallie Anderson, and Christian Tarsney; Seanis coached by Raymond T. Shay, John DiIulio, and Steve McElroy.

Congrats to Zach on the win! Also, huge congrats to La Salle on their all-around fantastic showing, particularly with Sean getting second in LD, Greg and Brian getting second in Policy, and Nick breaking in impromptu. Congrats also to the Holy Ghost speech team, who dominated as usual. Finally, congrats to my teammate Savannah Tibbets for making it to the super session in her second congress tournament ever.
