Sean Janda Defends Pennsbury Title
FAIRLESS HILLS, Penn. — The seventh annual Pennsbury Falcon Invitational concluded on Saturday night with a final round that featured La Salle College High School’s Sean Janda and Newburgh Free Academy’s Phoebe Wolfe. The judges were Garreth Heidt, Avanti Kollaram, and Michelle Bruck. On a 3-0 decision, Sean defeated Phoebe to defend the title he won last year. Congratulations to both finalists!
Thirty-eight Lincoln-Douglas debaters from five states competed in the varsity field. The tournament broke to a quarterfinal round.
Sean is coached by John DiIluio, Raymond T. Shay and Steve McElroy; Phoebe is coached by Sheryl Kaczmarek and Peter Cancro.

Congrats to Janda on defending his title. I must say, destroying our judges’ concept of what Lincoln-Douglass debate should be during our quarterfinals round was probably my favorite part of the tournament.
