Claire Daviss Wins Colleyville Heritage
COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE, Tex. — Southlake Carroll High School’s Cathy Creighton and Winston Churchill High School’s Claire Daviss were the varsity Lincoln-Douglas debate finalists at the fourteenth annual the Colleyville Heritage Winter Invitational.
Katie Dessi, Owen Wilson-Chavez, Bekah Boyer, Tyler Levy, and Tom Lorinc adjudicated the final round. Ultimately, Claire defeated Cathy on a 4-1 decision — Levy dissented — to take the tournament. Congratulations to both debaters!
Claire is coached by Kandi King, Dylan Pearcy, Josh Aguilar, and Shane O’Neal; Cathy is coached by Kris Wright and Diane Forbes.

I don’t know what bid count looks like right now, but it’s my understanding that Claire Daviss has repeatedly had bad luck in doubles all season. So congrats to her on the bid, I watched her debate Larry at Greenhill and I think she is much better than a lot of people who are already fully qualified.
