Aaron Timmons Wins Vernell Copeland Farrand Friendship Award

posted by Jon Cruz on February 5th, 2010

NEWARK, N.J. — In honor of thirty years of debate in Newark, Jon Cruz and Richard B. Sodikow donated an award in recognition of the long-standing friendship between the Bronx High School of Science and Newark Science High School (now Newark Science Park High School).

The Vernell Copeland Farrand Friendship Award — named for the wife of long-time Newark coach Brent Farrand — was established to recognize supporters of the Newark debate community. The first presentation of this award was made to Aaron Timmons. Congratulations!
