Figliola, Miller, Tang, Willoughby Are 2010 Key Coaches

posted by Jon Cruz on January 28th, 2010

ATLANTA, Ga. — In 1964, the Barkley Forum, under the direction of Glenn Pelham, began to invite successful high school coaches into an honor society known as the Gold Key Society. Each year, the members of the self-perpetuating Society invite a select number of debate teachers from schools across the nation into membership in a ceremony held during the Barkley Forum for High Schools.

This year’s inductees are Tony Figliola of Holy Ghost Preparatory School, Bruce Miller of Bishop Guertin High School, Wayne Tang of Maine East High School, and Lisa Willoughby of Henry W. Grady High School.

“The most prestigious presentation made by the Barkley Forum is the presentation of the Gold Key,” explains Melissa Maxcy Wade.

Invitation to the Society is a lifetime designation.
