first and foremost, i want to say FANTASTIC WORK TO JORDAN NERISON FROM REAGAN. this girl is one of the best debaters that you have never heard of. since i first judged you in a camp practice round at ut a few summers ago, i know you would go far. i always judge you at locals and am stunned by both your intellectual curiosity and your ability to cogently strategize with such innovative positions. it’s great to see that you are now competitive with the nation’s best; you deserve it. keep up the good work and rep that san antonio!

huge congratulations to both patrick graham and max mccready. i remember judging doubles at grapevine between the two of you and thinking it should have been semis. you are both obscenely intelligent and your hard work is obviously paying off.

nick lassus. wow, buddy. what a breakout. congratulations and i expect to see more of you in these late rounds.

josh tupler and brian hodge! congratulations to both of you (and to steve and quinn, respectively) for bidding so early in your sophomore years. these young’ns are both forces to be reckoned with.

jrob, no surprise here at all. excellent job holding down your winning territory.

jared woods, congrats on completing the qual. you’re definitely one of the most fun debaters to watch that i’ve seen this year. northland christian is DEEP this year and they’re all different, so make sure you watch out for this kid.

and neil grigg. you’ve been busting ass and i’ve been impressed in every round i’ve seen you this year. congrats on the return, i’m sure there are more bids in your near future.

blay; sorry you went down early, buddy. props on 3rd speaker, and you’ve already got the qual. keep your head up and stay swagnificent.

congratulations to everyone else that i forgot to mention, and good luck to all on the next topic.

p.s. endless thanks to ashan peiris and ajay ketkar. y’all know what’s up, thanks for being good friends.

Now that competition on the September-October topic is over, I wonder if anyone would be willing to submit their cases (full text, not the tag/cite form) to the NDCA Wiki?

The first part of a cross-posted thread from lddebate.org (it continues there).

Respond there so the due congratulations for everyone who did well at Marks don’t get screened out. Congrats again to Lius, JROB, Pat, Truth, and Stef.

Massive congratulations to everyone on a lot of excellent performances and “upsets,” though all this really means is not that you beat someone you should not have, but that you finally came into your own, so hell yeah for doing so. A special congratulations to Patrick Graham on a well deserved bid number one, coaching you is a pleasure sir.

Congrats to Josh Tupler – a great kid who works extremely hard – sorry I couldn’t be there for you this weekend but I knew you’d be fine without me (and Kris since he unexpectedly got sick :( ).

Congrats to Bryan Wilder from Legacy for breaking as well! Bryan is not known by many people but he is the only LDer at his school, is 15 years old (a senior) and is a great kid and very good debater. He doesn’t have the same resources, opportunities or coaching as others but works very hard and deserves every success he gets. I am glad that I could talk to you before your doubles round on the phone and know that all of us at USchool are glad to have you as an extended teammate!

Congrats to all who did so well this weekend.
