Hannah Begley Takes Desert Vista
PHOENIX, Ariz. — The first-ever Desert Sun Invitational at Desert Vista High School concluded with a final round that featured Chandler High School’s Tony Nguyen and Mesa Mountain View High School’s Hannah Begley. In the round, Hannah defeated Tony on a 3-2 decision to take the title. Congratulations to both!

Thanks to everyone at DV who helped me post these ranks, note that there may be mistakes, that of which will be fixed when they arise, simply because I wanted to post during the actual and immediately after the tournament. Special thanks to Mr. Dominguez, Megan McHugh, and all of those who slaved to keep this tournament sane (which somehow, it was).
This was a great inaugural tournament, and I personally can’t wait for the next year.

Congratulations to Hannah and Tony for being amazing!!
I want to thank everyone who contributed to making this tournament successful. I won’t list names because there were about a hundred people, but each and every one of them was amazing in getting their job done. Thanks for making this a great first tournament for Desert Vista!
I also want to thank Jon Cruz for allowing us to get our tournament on VBD. This was an amazing opportunity for getting our tournament name out. I hope that more schools from other states can make it next year!
