Victor and Tammy Jih Win The Amazing Race!

TARCON XIV in NEW YORK, N.Y. — Victor Jih and Tammy Jih have won The Amazing Race!
Victor (Victory Briefs founder, Brentwood School coach, and 1989 Berkeley champion) and Tammy (1999 Stanford champion) beat out the competition in a worldwide chase to win a million dollars.
Aracelis Biel, Andrew Garvin, Josh Stephens, Joe Vaughan, and I were able to cheer on Team Jih (Jih Unit?) during the finale at TARcon XIV. (It was dark in the room, so I’ll forgive Aracelis for cutting off my face and Andrew’s face.)

In retrospect, there was no way Victor and Tammy could have lost; just like Victory Briefs, the name says it all! :D Huge congratulations to them once again.
PS to Jon: Even though I have no physical voice left with which to protest (cheered a little too much last night, haha) I think Joe took that photo, not me. (Instead, I made your head look big in that other photo with Luke. Sorry!)

I’ve never watched TAR before, but I watched this season faithfully after learning about the VB connection, and I agree with Cyndy; I’m pretty sure I would have been rooting for Tammy and Victor even w/out the connection. Their attitudes were great; they managed to have fun and enter into the spirit of the race. They also won big points by treating both both the other competitors and and “the locals” decently and courteously. It was interesting to see the big brother-little sister relationship grow and change – yay for sibling bonding.
Tying this in to another recent thread, maybe VJ would consider ponying up (sorry) for a few TOC trophies?
