SoCal Champs/VBT Monday Update
LOS ANGELES, Cali. — Hey folks, a few announcements as we are leading up to the weekend of the tournament.
1. New schedule is posted. It isn’t radically different than before. It is on the Joy of Tournaments site and I’ll also post it at the bottom of the email.
2. Tomorrow you will be getting more emails from me in regards to parking, where to sign in on Saturday morning, etc.
3. FEES: MANY schools have not paid their fees. If you have NOT yet mailed them, just hold them until registration.
4. Registration: We need to SEE or HEAR from EVERY SCHOOL on Friday night. We have a very aggressive schedule on Saturday and really need to be able to pair our prelim rounds on Friday night. So, if you cannot make it in person (preferred) to the hotel, PLEASE call us. I will give a good number in emails through the week.
5. Registration part II: in order to expadite the registration process and minimize
last minute changes, I will be posting registration sheets from our tab programs so you can verify that everything is correct. We will send those out tomorrow. This also means that registration on the site is CLOSED. Please make sure you send any changes directly to me. bietz@victorybriefs.com. Those of you who have sent changes up to now.. they should be reflected in tomorrows report. Please double check.
6. Weather update:
Friday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s and lows in the low 50s.
Saturday: More clouds than sun. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 40s.
Sunday: Times of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s.
7. Meals at the tournament: We will provide breakfast and lunch for judges/coaches. We will have limited concessions available for students. Ackermann Union at UCLA will be open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Ackermann has
Panda Express & a Rubios.
