Cameron Baghai Wins the Tedd Wood

ascb.jpgSTUDIO CITY, Cali. — The Tedd Wood at Harvard-Westlake School — named in memory of the legendary Harvard-Westlake coach — concluded on Sunday evening with a final round that featured Rancho Bernard High School’s Cameron Baghai and the Meadows School’s Amanda Signorelli. The two debaters emerged from a field of fifty-four debaters. The final round itself was adjudicated Stephen Babb, Josh Anderson, and Peter D. Van Elswyk, and on a 3-0 decision, Cameron defeated Amanda to claim the tournament title. Congratulations to both debaters!

Cameron is coached by Wesley Craven; Amanda is coached by Dan Meyers.

    major props to the hw crew for an amazingly well run tournament–I was shocked (even though I was expecting it to be a great tournament) at just how awesome this tournament was.

    thanks to everyone who’s helped me out, whether it be at debate camp (go FSD lab! Case, Babb, and Wes), during the year, or at the tournament. seriously though, there are so many people in the debate community that are just plain awesome, and i really appreciate it.

    oh, and to everyone i hit–thanks for making the debates fun. especially that final round Amanda–i really enjoyed hearing that AC (and I know you enjoyed running it).
