In the main LD tournament, the entry for Walt Whitman labeled “Richard Scordato” should actually be “Caroline Sherrard.”

Clear Lake High School has been kicked out of this tournament because Hurricane Ike is threatening to flatten our homes, which for some reason that I have yet to comprehend makes me and my teammates ineligible to compete.

    I am very sad/mad.
    Grr at Ike.

    ATTENTION ALL DEBATERS ATTENDING GREENHILL

Girish Agashe will not be at the tournament. Do not waste a strike on him.

While removing my entry I forgot to remove him from the judging pool, a mistake I greatly regret. However, I was completely blind to this fact until today when people asked me about him while scouring their strike sheets.

Is anyone else having issues inputting judge prefs? When I try to save, it says I need to meet the caps for all categories even though the “cumulative basis” rule should be in place. With judge conflicts, there aren’t enough judges to meet all the caps.

important question about this weekend: with winds forcasted around 50 mph on Saturday and torrential rain probable, are there plans in place to keep the peacocks sheltered?

accroding to weather.com Ike is hitting th e coast as a category three but will get to dallas as a cat one. being from florida, i don’t see why greenhill hasn’t canceled yet. the people running the tournament should be busy trying to prepare for the storm. there iwll a lot of wind and rain throughout the entire weekend. the website also says that there is possibility of power outages. dispite all of this, i will be there unless they cancel.

The latest news is that the storm is going to go Freeport, Houston, Huntsville, up east Texas — Dallas is going to be on the far west portion, As the weatherman said — dallas is going to dodge the bullet with very little damage expected here.

I am praying all my friends in the path of this storm though.

local weather services are announcing that, while the storm’s nasty side will be hitting houston directly, the storm is shifting away from us, and has almost 0 probability of landing as a category 3, and will most likely land as a cat 1

“local weather services are announcing that, while the storm’s nasty side will be hitting houston directly, the storm is shifting away from us, and has almost 0 probability of landing as a category 3, and will most likely land as a cat 1″

Quinn, I’ve had the news on all day, and they do think that it will land as a cat 2 and most likely a cat 3 aince it slowed last night. It is going to be a bumpy night.

To any H-town kids who managed to get up to Greenhill, good luck. To those who got stuck in Ike-ville, stay safe.

Elkins, I, will not be attending nor will our judge Andrew Cockroft, or at least not attending to judge for Elkins as I do not holistically speak for his attendance due to Ike (so unless you have spoken to him directly, do not waste a strike or a 1 or w/e it may be)
