Register for Greenhill!

ADDISON, Tex. — Aaron Timmons announced today that registration for this year’s Greenhill Fall Classic has opened on Joy of Tournaments. The Fall Classic will be held on September 13, 14, and 15, 2008. The tournament has, as Timmons noted in an an earlier e-mail, again been selected to serve a dual role as an octafinals qualifier for the Tournament of Champions and a maximum-point earner for the National Debate Coaches Association Championships.

I am pleased to announce that registration is now open for this year’s installment of the Greenhill Fall Classic.

This year’s tournament will be held on September 13 – 15, 2008. The Greenhill Fall Classic has again been selected to serve a dual role as a maximum point earner for the National Debate Coaches Association Championships as well an octo-finals qualifier for the Tournament of Champions. The Greenhill Fall Classic is for coaches most experienced Policy and Lincoln – Douglas debaters.

We are pride ourselves on having excellent judging, hospitality and facilities for coaches and students. All students and coaching attending will be served complimentary breakfast and lunch as part of the entry fee. We will continue our practice of doing all we can to make this event as nice as possible for coaches and judges as well. We work hard in our quest to make Greenhill not just another tournament, but an educational experience that people look forward to year after year.

In addition, we understand that times are tough as it relates to airfares, extra baggage fees and the like. Please know that we are having some conversations internally that we hope will result in some actions that should be able to ease the burden that attending our event might cause teams. It is our hope that such conversations (and subsequent actions) will be had by all those that are hosting tournaments this year. More information will be given as we get closer to the tournament.

Last year our capacity was filled LONG before the entry deadline. We highly recommend that coaches enter ASAP.
