Voices Offers Camp Scholarships
STANFORD, Cali. — The Voices Foundation will accept applications from high school students with substantial financial need for financial aid to attend Lincoln-Douglas debate camps during the summer of 2008. The Foundation will also accept requests from debate coaches for support to attend coaches institutes. The online application for students can be found on the Foundation’s web site.
“Coaches seeking assistance should contact the Foundation directly,” notes the web site. “Although there is no deadline for applications, individuals are encouraged to apply early, and no later than three weeks before the camp start date. It is anticipated that several awards for up to 50% of camp tuition will be made; it is unlikely that the Foundation will be able to support full tuition for any individual, so students are encouraged to also seek other sources of support.”
