Congrats to Bilal and the Logan coaching staff. Can’t say I’m surprised.

In general, great job to Area 1 - CFL/GGSA. What a brutal area of the country to compete in…

Congrats to Logan and Bellarmine for good showings.

I want to also congratulate Natalee Pei and Daniel Garber from MVLA, who were in semis and octos respectively.

I couldn’t ask for a better pair of debaters to be matched up in finals.

Calvin - awesome job. Way to rep the bcpld legacy.

Bilal - way to bring it home. As I mentioned before, I have a huge amount of respect for you and the Logan program. Tommie Lindsey must be proud.

I meant most populous. I won the Lakeville Elementary School Geography Bee three years in a row! But I’ll clarify, because it was poor word choice.

    Congratulations, Bilal and Calvin!!

    Not far, apparently.

“teh best team ever analy cs (chris and stafford or sp?) lost in quarters

    sadness

two Analy teams made it to semis though

And I have to say that although Catterton/Stafford are the best team ever, the champions (Leland) aren’t that bad either.

Ummm… the “champions” in Parli won because the opp team was mean in the POI’s. I saw the ballots.

They dropped a mutlipoint straight turn on their case. State champions my ass.

While I haven’t seen the round I have seen the state champions debate before and they impressed me as a rather legit team. Even if their victories against Catterton or Rasheed were unlegit (I don’t know if they were) that doesn’t change the fact that they are awesome debaters.

And since you are the teammate of the finalists and you’ve seen the ballots but not the round itself, I don’t know how accurate your account of the round is.

    Whatever.

Raza and Ross won the flow but they WERE being douchebags and perhaps they needed to learn that the hard way…

I compiled a list of how they were asses in that round:
    1. Calling opponent Constitution hater
    2. Telling your opponent in response to a question say it in their speech
    3. Playing hangman while their opponents spoke.
