Well, thank you everyone for all the congratulations and kind words. I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who helped me win this competition, because I clearly didn't do it on my own. Thanks to Katie and Evan first, because they were the first people who really helped me with debate; being volunteers at FTC. Second, who should almost be first, is Lauren Geschel for being so absolutely dedicated to her debate team. The list of things she's done for the team would be endless. Ali, for helping me with my cases, and offering advice and help when you could. Lilly Deng and Alex McCobin also deserve thanks for being so awesome and creating and running Perspectives, haha. This year was awesome, and I'm really proud I got into the swing of things with debate. I'm sad my year is over though :[ Haha, but I plan on being a part of Perspectives in the future. I definitely plan on going back to FTC and helping our team next year, and perhaps volunteer some with Perspectives.
Once again, thank you everyone for what you've said, and thank you everyone who has helped me make it this far.

I would like to thank Lilly, Alex, Katie, Evan, Ali, and everyone who has helped us this past year. We went from walking in blindly to debates to walking in prepared and confident. I couldn't have done it without you guys!!
Yay Eddie! Yay Yong!

I'd just like to congratulate every student who competed! So many students have learned so much this year and schools that have never had debate teams before have become absolutely incredible!

The Voices of Philadelphia was only possible because of tremendous support from a variety of individuals who deserve recognition:

Thank you Alex Anderson and Katie Poulos who directed the tournament and the plethora of volunteers and RR participants who helped with logistics and judging.

Thank you to the esteemed final round judging panel and other prominent members of the Pennsylvania community who participated in the tournament.

Thank you to Jon Cruz for donating the amazing trophies that students fell in love with at first sight.

And most of all, thank you to Drexel University and its administrators! Drexel donated all the space for the tournament, free breakfast, lunch and snacks for competitors, coaches and judges, and on top of it all, awarded a total $30,000 in college scholarships to students who competed! Drexel is an amazing university with incredible leaders who are truly dedicated to advancing education at every level.

I can't help but remember how nervous Eddie and Yong were for their first debates this year. You have both come a long way and we are sooooo proud of you!

Mr. Field, Ms. Geschel, Eddie, Yong, and, well Franklin Towne in general are pretty amazing.

Voices was an incredible experience for all involved, and I'm so glad that this was posted on VBD for all to say. I consider myself incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to work with Eddie, Yong, Ryan, Rubin, and Subee, and it's great to see them honored here.

Special shout-out to Eddie, who remains one of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met inside or outside of debate. Congrats, Eddie. You deserve this!
