Actually, finals is Steph versus Marco. Becca had to get a flight home, so she conceeded her semis round against Steph after it happened but before the decision, which was subsequently a 3-0 for Becca. Steph, however, advanced and is debating Marco in finals.

Hey, why don’t I get a contribution note if Anjan does? Psht. Lame.

Lindsey and Becca’s round was a 2-1 with me on bottom, and Sean Mumper and someone I don’t know on top.

Steph’s round had Mr. Massey and someone else on top, and Mrs. Dolan on bottom.

Major props to Steph on another victory.

That said, I just really want to congratulate Marco on finishing his debate career with a Final Round performance in a tournament that included some really outstanding debaters like Steph, Marc, Becca, Lindsay, etc. You have had a great 4 years and our team will miss you greatly. No better way to go out than on top; you will have a blast at Tufts! It was an honor to help you through the past couple of years.

My heart dies at the above (mis)use of hella. Stop saying hella. You’re not norcal. You’re not socal. You’re not even mildly associated with California, except through the debaters who you happen to know from northern California, and you sound like a DUMBASS when you use it. You’re from New York. And “hella alot”? Are you KIDDING me?

Debaters everywhere: we realize California is the shit. But the complete bastardization of such phrases is what makes high school debaters complete shit-worshippers.

and you, sir, are a hater. seriously, why is it ok for people from cali to use the phrase but nowhere else? i mean i think its dumb too but cmon, that goes no matter where your family pays taxes

yeah “are you kidding” is being way too confrontational but i applaud him for just completely beasting that dude who said “hella alot”… i really don’t think it’s that bad, and in fact i’m from socal and i think norcal kids who say hella sound like tools, but i think it’s hilarious that he exploded on the guy….

hahahaha wow and it was like 20 posts before him too
    this guy is awesome
    “Are you KIDDING me?” LOL
