Farihah Haque Wins Kaplan
Billiot Takes Congress; Mills and Wilson Tops in Extemp
KAPLAN, La. — After two days of competition, the Kaplan Contraband Classic concluded Saturday evening with a final round between Farihah Haque of Barbe and Nick Roszczynialski of Lafayette. A 2-1 decision gave Haque both the round and the title.
Farihah is coached by Carla Washburn; Nick is coached by Shane Guilbeau.
Congratulations are also in order for Congress champion Joe Billiot of Comeaux as well as Brettly Wilson of Cecilia and Morgan Mills of Comeaux, who won Senior and Junior Extemporaneous Speaking, respectively.
Joe and Morgan are coached by Sandra Broussard and Lisa Jones; Brettly is coached by Norma Harman.
