Shadman Zaman Wins Lexington
LEXINGTON, Mass. — The latest edition of the long-running Lexington Winter Invitational came to a close this evening with a final round that pitted Sacred Heart High School’s Shadman Zaman against Ridge High School’s Alan Tong. The setting of the scene? A classroom located a stone’s throw from the very grounds on which the first shots of the American War of Independence were fired.
Now that I’ve set the scene, I’ll wrap up the story. On a 3-2 decision, Shadman defeated Alan to take this year’s title. Congratulations to both debaters!
Shadman is coached by Beena Koshy and Chetan Hertzig; Alan is coached by David Yastremski and Charlie Furman.
An hour earlier, the final round of the tournament’s novice division featured a showdown between Randolph High School’s Maddy Stein and the Bronx High School of Science’s Carolyn Clendenin. On a 7-2 decision, Maddy defeated Carolyn to win the tournament. Congratulations to both!
Maddy is coached by Peter H. Bond. Carolyn is coached by Jon Cruz.
My apologies for the delays in coverage throughout the tournament! I will have a stable Internet connection during the Lexington Round Robin and will have all the names and results updated for your reading pleasure.

While this thread is not the forum, can a section of VBD be set up to discuss major positions that people are running? I heard rumor of unique/interesting positions at Lexington. It would be nice to know what they were. If a place does exist where people are discussing arguments I would appreciate someone letting me in on it.
I know people are afraid of case lists (been there done that with that discussion), a general list of positions could help a lot of people prepare/understand the direction this topic is going given the number of people that use this website.
Just my thoughts…
