SANTA MONICA, Cali. — Victory Briefs is providing coverage of this weekend’s tournaments taking place around the country.
- Hendrick Hudson (Bump): Niskayuna’s Alex Williams and Lexington’s Gabe Schonfeld are declared co-champions. (The tournament traditionally does not hold a final round.)
- Capital City Classic: Apple Valley’s Chris Theis and Kirstie Kimball close out.
- Cinco Ranch Round-up: Kinkaid’s Becca Traber defeats Strake Jesuit’s Todd Liipfert on a 3-0.
- Hockaday: Southlake Carroll’s Ryan Bennett defeats Northland Christian’s Josh Overton.

for those interested. i have created a TOC scoreboard similar to the one of ’05-’06. it includes every tournament (i believe) to date, who picked up bids, as well as an area denoting who has 2+bids or are autoqualled from last year. while some think that ‘bid-counting’ is a bad nuance of the activity, i think it’s safe to say that competitiveness is just as valuabe as education when it comes to debate, and this acts as a reference tool for those who are wondering about the status of others around the country.
