Claire Herron Wins Saint James

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The annual Raymond B. Furlong Invitational Forensic Tournament at Saint James School took place this past weekend and the final round pitted Alabama against Tennessee. Mountain Brook High School’s Claire Herron faced off against the McCallie School’s Andrew Daly to vie for the title. Claire bested Andrew in finals and was awarded the Michele K. Championship Trophy. (Coaching credits follow; full results will follow soon.)
Claire is coached by Jeff W. Roberts and Melissa McClue. Andrew is coached by Christian Cundiff.

Congrats also to Will Simoneaux (Jesuit WS) for making it to semis of the 2nd tournament of his first year as an ALDer. Props to Jesuit High School and Coach Travis Smith for placing 4 debaters in outrounds of a bid tourney only two years after not having a program!
