Sports fun! (or who wants to play Fantasy Football?)

posted by Bietz on September 2nd, 2007

Although yesterday was one of the most memorable sports days in history (the Michigan loss to Appalachian State / Clay Bucholz, a Red Sox rookie pitching a no-hitter), what we really care about Fantasy Football, right? Actually, yesterday I also attended an LA Galaxy game, which was also quite fun.

So three questions for this post. Who would play Fantasy Football if we started a league? What college team do you root for? What other sports are you excited for right now?

(As for Fantasy Football, I know that Jeremy Schifberg, Liz Scoggin and Neil Conrad are in for sure)

I’d definitely join the league… I just bought a shirt that says “Girls come and go, fantasy football is forever.” =)

I root for the Wolverines… yeah. That was seriously the biggest shock EVER, I didn’t even watch the game because I figured I could just check the highlights and find out Michigan beat them 91-0. Blaarghghggghhaghagh

my performance in debate related fantasy football leagues has been pretty poor so far. hope to break that tradition. michael, i can’t believe you gave me crap for taking steve smith with my third pick when you took him first last year. lame.

I would not usually post here except to tell Liz that that was one of the worst picks I’ve ever seen in my life from someone I expected to have football knowledge and be semi-competent (even though you’re sub-.500 every year).

i can’t believe not a soul trusts in steve smith. and yeah my bench blows, i will fully admit it, but if my top two stay healthy i am not worried about this year.

and i always dreamed of being “semi-competent”. thanks.
