Today: Practice Round 3

LOS ANGELES, Cali. - Debaters will participate in their third practice round today. There are two divisions, each of which is double-flighted, and each of which is named for a local point of geography. When a debater has the flight off in her own division, she has downtime to prepare and to work. When one half of the camp has a double-flighted round, the other half of the camp proceeds to the Symposium on Debate Strategy. This series of lectures and discussions reinforces fundamental concepts while challenging students to evaluate their own current approaches to different aspects of debate.

Today, students will participate in a symposium with Mike Bietz entitled “Positional Debate.”
