Shravan Muralidharan Wins OHSSL State Title

BOARDMAN, OH - Congratulations to the finalists in Lincoln Douglas debate at the eightieth Ohio High School Speech League State Finals: GlenOak High School’s Shravan Muralidharan and Medina High School’s Jane Krosse. On a 3-2 decision, a panel of Adam Nelson, Rushil Patel, Parwinde Grewal, Mike Thompson, and Joe Long awarded the state title to Shravan. (Thompson and Nelson dissented.)

Jane is coached by Jennifer Oehler. Shravan is coached by Nick Bollas and Tom Mosberger.

Congratulations as well to G. Bob Santo of Rocky River High School, to whom the tournament’s opening ceremony was dedicated. 2007 marks his fiftieth year coaching. Congratulations to him on his golden coaching anniversary, a truly unique achievement! Congratulations are also in order for the 2007 class of inductees into the Ohio High School Speech League’s Hall of Fame: Mike Amstutz of Vermillion and Edison High Schools and Thom Williams, Howland High School.

On a 3-2 decision, a panel of Don McBurney, Sean Sich, Chris Goddard, Bob Miller, and Marcia Romoser awarded the state title to Jared and Mike. (Sich and Miller dissented.)
