My apologies for the late posting of this news.
Now, to the debaters:
Congratulations to Pam for making it to finals. I have been impressed with her since the TOC and Vassar and this looks like it was a hard-fought battle to finals.
Patrick has, obviously, been having just an absolutely amazing year. I have been struck by his extreme command of the round (substantively and technically), his politeness to me in our interactions, and, to be honest, his general devotion to debate geekiness. Good job.

Patrick is coached by Dave McGinnis and Jake Gelfand.
No, he is not. :)
Patrick is fortunate to be coached by Messr. William Corbin Cass, and myself.
The hilariousness of this post makes up, however, for any error in reporting.

“Congratulations as well to Patrick — who was also the top speaker — for dropping only a single ballot in the course of the entire round robin.”
Congrats to Patrick, but this is not true (as he’s been reminded several times this weekend).

I do like your use of “Messr.” :o)
Okay, sorry to Corbin (or William, as I believe he was called at Emory). I guess I had that Vibe post on my mind. ;o) But I think the hilariousness of the idea of that coaching duo does indeed make up for my *triple* error.
Congratulations again! (And congratulations to Nick, of whom I’ve been a fan for quite some time, and whom I mistakenly did not congratulate. :o))

“Congratulations as well to Patrick — who was also the top speaker — for dropping only a single ballot in the course of the entire round robin AND THE ACTUAL TOURNAMENT!!!!!(against me)”
Congrats to Patrick, but this is not true (as he’s been reminded several times this weekend).
