This Weekend: Live from Stanford, Live from Scarsdale

This coming weekend, VBD will provide live coverage of both the Stanford National Invitational in California and the Scarsdale Invitational in New York. Jennie Savage will report from California, and I will report from New York. Be sure to stop us to have your photograph taken if we don’t stop you first!

The Stanford pool is 250 debaters large. Mountain View/Los Altos will be there in full force, along with Pine Crest. Lynbrook will also be in attendance, although Valley will be at Nat Quals in Iowa.

Entry information on Joy of Tournaments as of right now shows 232 entrants in varsity LD and 95 in JV LD with a total of 119 schools participating at Stanford.

Stanford: 43 or so PF teams, +80 parli teams. Can’t say anything else, ‘coz I was on the Los Altos High campus, and I have no idea how things went on Stanford.
