   I’m interested in seeing how this will play out as a March/April topic, especially given the new system for voting on topics that will go into effect for next year. (Next year, coaches will be able to vote up front for the top three topics for each two-month period, and for Nationals.)

   What types of violations of national sovereignty do people think this topic is talking about? Military intervention? Political intervention?

   Should be interesting especially since most military operations that the UN can be involved in have to do with peacekeeping or some version in which their has to be some consent of the country for them to be in per their own charter. So would the Aff essentially have to offer some way to overturn existing UN policy?

    Well of course the US was the agent, but that’s what makes this one even better. This version avoids all of those flag-waving “God bless America, and nobody else” arguments (hopefully).

    I agree with Weeks. This topic has so much more variety that it would have been fun to see all the directions people would have taken on it in the essentially 5 month toc topic season.

    I think this topic will have some pretty awsome (if at times maybe convoluted/complex/heady philosophy) on account of the wide range of literature/material that a lot of kids probably already have from IR lectures at camp.
    Looking forward to interesting debating at TFA State.

    irksome as it is that such a good topic is relegated to march/april, it’s at least good to know that the new topic selection procedures will minimize such happenings in the future.

    that said, this topic is kinda amazing. too bad there won’t be any real debating on it in this part of the country…

    Здравия желаю, господа-товарищи.
    Не знаю, вроде всего уже хватает, и содержим по полной программе мы этих женщин, и преподносим настолько дорогое мужское внимание. Вот я для
    своей ненаглядной бывшей исполнял все ее прихоти: и свежевыжатый сок в кровать, и не только по праздникам, но и в будни шикарные цветы - символы любви и разные салоны. В конце концов, эта пидерастка всё таки наплевала мне в мою душу и раздвинула ноги перед вонючим студентишкой.
