Meet the Staff of VBI@UCLA: Glickstein & Babb
SANTA MONICA, CA – Victory Briefs is excited to announce that Jed Glickstein and Stephen Babb will be again joining us on staff this summer at VBI@UCLA.
Glickstein debated for four years at Edina High School in Minnesota. The 2004 National Champion, Glickstein qualified to the Tournament of Champions three times and advanced twice. As a senior, he closed out both the Greenhill Fall Classic and the Glenbrooks. He was also the champion of the Blake School’s Edie Holiday Tournament. A VBI alumnus and a student at Yale University (where he will be co-directing this fall’s Yale Invitational), this will be his third summer teaching with us.
As a debater for the Texas Military Institute, Babb broke at Nationals three straight years, placing in the Top Thirty, fourth, and ninth respectively. He was invited to the MBA and Greenhill Round Robins, was a finalist at the Colorado Classic, and was the TFA State Champion. He has coached students to outrounds at St. Mark’s, Emory, Colleyville, the Glenbrooks, and Lexington and qualified for the TOC and Nationals. A graduate of Baylor University, this will be his fifth summer teaching with us.
Glickstein and Babb won’t be strangers on staff in terms of their accomplishments: they join this year’s National Champion (Douglas Jeffers) and this year’s TFA State Champion (Andy Werner) as faculty members.
