Nationals: The Public Forum Brief
Congratulations to all those who have qualified to Nationals. It truly is a feat, one you should surely be proud of. The week at nationals is going to have its ups, down, its triumphs, and inevitably its disappointments. While the latter may not seem encouraging to hear, it is the nature of competition. You all have an extraordinary opportunity before you to win the national title. If you have been to nationals before I do not have to tell you about anxiety, frustration, excitement, and opportunity that will experience during the week long venture in Texas. For those of you who haven’t been, this could be the best week of your life: win or lose.
So, let’s get down to business. You can download my brief and analysis on the Nationals topic for Public Forum debate here.

Question…
Why do you refer to the Protocol as the Kyoto Treaty? I realize that it is a treaty, but it is called the Kyoto Protocol officially.

I refer to it as the Kyoto Treaty because it is a treaty… I understand what the official name of it is but because it is suppose to be a codified agreement among nations, it would be proper, in terms of international law, to refer to it as a treaty… Honestly, using them interchangably isn’t going to make a bit of difference.
