The four way tie was broken down by record against each other. Prashant and Michael had the same record. That tie was broken by speaker points.
Jacob Levi won the demonstration round 6-4.
Congrats to all the competitors on a great weekend. This was the most competitive round robin in our history (22 years).

Ever sit at a computer for five mintes wondering what you are going to say in an attempt to not sound cliche or insincere? Well I do.
However, for the sake of saying something to congratulate two of my favorite people in debate, hurray for Jacob and Matt!!!

So I’ve been in New Delhi going crazy because I barely have e-mail access, but I swear to God, I dreamed last night that Matt had won the Round Robin…and I was right! Perhaps I can have a career as a psychic.

Yo. Liz Mullins, somewhat distressed, mentioned to me a few minutes ago that someone had posted something here with her name and email. As her paralegal, I was immediately dispatched to make amends. Anyways, while it may or may not be true that Sr. Shieldsy is so freaking hot that if he were ever to sweat it would instantly turn to steam (that is, from the liquid or aqueous phase to the gaseous phase), it’s not true that Srta. Mullins would ever, ever, EVER post a comment so grammatically incorrect (come on, it’s just begging for a semicolon). An investigation is underway and the appropriate legal action will be taken.

Assistant District Attorney Salant, that was awfully persuasive. (And I wanted to confirm that Liz did not write that post.)

I just want to say thank you to everyone from MBA-Mr Tate, Fernandez, Spence, and all the students and others-it was a really really incredible experience. Also, congrats Matt and everyone else for a lot of really excellent debate. Similarly, I would like to thank Coca Cola for Vault. Vault speaks for itself.

Not to be hopelessly unoriginal, but I just wanted to send a huge congratulations to Matt on an exceptional–and most certainly deserved–accomplishment. It’s nice to see a New Yorker take the MBA title again, especially one so ridiculously talented.
I’m also, frankly, blown away by Jacob (incedentally, another fine Jewish boy from NY) and his incredible success this year. And hey, if you can take down Shields in the demo round, the great things I’ve been hearing about you must be true.
Will you guys be at Lex? ‘Twould be cool to catch up.
