I didn't see that anyone posted last year that they are were going to American University. I am a freshman there who was a local circut debater in Illinois for four years in high school. American University is home to the highly ranked school of public affairs. I it also big on double majors. I am a double major in Poly Sci and philosophy. If anyone has any questions about the school or wants to visit IM me at HazyFlux13.

I didn't apply to NYU early, so I don't know when you hear back, but if anyone has any questions about living on the most exciting and diverse "campus" in the country, feel free to email me at ezahler@nyu.edu or IM me at iqei and I'll give you my NYU pitch.

In all seriousness, though, I (vaguely) remember this time during senior year kind of sucking (though not quite as much as April), so good luck to all my senior friends out there (especially you pampered San Marino kids with your 4.5s and ridiculously thick CVs... just get into USC already and call it a day) and remember, you're almost second semester seniors anyway, so none of it matters. =D

I go to Stanford, and it's really really ridiculously awesome. So if you want to learn more about the school and find out whether or not you want to apply/attend, feel free to email me at clizzin AT stanford DOT edu.

I currently plan to double major in International Relations (interdisciplinary polisci/econ/history) and Symbolic Systems (interdisciplinary cogsci/compsci/psych/philo/linguistics), so I suppose I know a little bit about both sides of the techie/fuzzy spectrum. I unfortunately cannot answer questions about the application process, since I've pretty much forgotten everything about it. I CAN, however, tell you all about the academic setup, the dorm life, good places to eat, the absurd abbreviations we use here, and all our various quirky and sexually deviant traditions.

One word of advice though -- if you're into having a consistently superb football team that won't break your heart and smash it to a pulp with a mallet in the last quarter of close games, you might want to look elsewhere.
