to everyone who keeps asking “why isnt X here?”
This is NOT “who the VBTRR sent invitations to,” it is a list of the invited debaters who were willing and able to participate.

Petey, my question isn’t why Will didnt get invited. I’m sure he got invited, i just want to know why he aint herre because he lives in California.

Not everyone wants to spend their senior year of high school heavily involved in debate - especially people who already accomplished as much as Will did by the end of their junior years.

Dan,
Since Will accomplished so much last year, my question is, why doesn’t he want to debate this year since he is a good debater. If I went to the TOC my junior year, I wanted to be heavily involved in debate. Success is motivation in most cases. So I’m wondering why is Will’s successful journey taking an end so soon?

im pretty sure that’s will’s business.

not only is your post grammatically incorrect”if…i wanted”, it is also logically flawed. Not to speak for Will, but the motivation for going to TOC could have been the topic, getting into college (again not to speak of Will’s specific motive), or hanging out with specific people. Your post equates your reason for doing things with everyone’s. Moreover, unless Will himself posts as to his reason for quitting debate, it would be largely conjecturing on the part of the debate community, so i dont think your question can be answered.

i’m sure will would be really happy to know that he managed to create controversy in debate without even participating in it for months.

Will told me that he quit debate because Tisha Vaidya isn’t competing anymore.

To the person who let me know that I had grammatical errors in my previous post,
Yes, I know that none of you can speak for Will.
To michael and anyone else who’s trying to front,
And, the fact that Will isn’t competing this year isn’t a major concern in my life, but last year, I would’ve guessed that Will would’ve done very well at the TOC this year, probably even winning it. I’m just a curious person wanting to know why a person, who could potentially win the TOC, is not competing on the “national circuit” this year.
