I love Brian Stephan. He’s one of my favorite big men on this planet and is the most fantastic political nerd ever. He also refuses to camp for extemp and relies on his amazing intellect and smooth moves. Go get’em big guy. I miss you.

Shout out to my man Alex Stephenson. Make sure to do better than I did as a junior. Seriously, you’ll rock it. Also, good luck to everyone in what looks to be a very solid field. Hi to the people who I knew from back when I did extemp. Y’all know who you are. Back when I did extemp? What am I thinking? That was only six months ago.

Congrats to my boys Akshay and Gautam. They’re both phenomenal speakers, and I totally expect them to just own it up here. I don’t know how often a school gets 2 invites to this RR, but I’m assuming it’s infrequent…either way, you guys have definitely made all of us at Leland very proud. Keep it up!
Congrats to everyone else, as well!

Congrats to all of the invitees and good luck at the tournament. Also, I think the last time a school got two bids was Newton South when Ron Kendler & David Tannenwald came in 2003. I think Kendler got a last second entry due to Christos Theophaneous (Miramonte, CA) not getting to come due to unforseen circumstances. Too bad I can’t make it down to judge…maybe next year.
