Live from Yale: Rounds 1 & 2

Posted by Jon Cruz in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate category

NEW HAVEN, CT - Apologies for the delay, but now, the pairings for the first two rounds in both varsity and J.V. are available here. Coverage will be round-by-round starting tomorrow. With nearly 230 people in the varsity pool, the Yale Invitational has hired the most judges in its history to compensate for a growth in attendance. To respond to a comment posted earlier, we’re hoping to get a full competitors list from the tournament.

Live from Yale: Happy Birthday, Jed Glickstein!

Posted by Jon Cruz in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate category

Jed GlicksteinNEW HAVEN, CT - On behalf of the staff of Victory Briefs, I am incredibly happy to announce that today is Jed Glickstein’s twentieth birthday. Two years ago, Glickstein was crowned the National Champion on a 10-1 decision. I could focus on all his accomplishments–not only the champion of the Glenbrooks and Greenhill and Blake, but also the winner of the Minnesota Music Educators Association High School Composition Contest for Piano or Organ Solo!–but I’d prefer to focus on what an amazing and supportive friend he has been to me, his peers, and my colleagues. You rock, Jed Glickstein.
