Huge congratulations to Matt Aks, who is not only the best sophomore I’ve debated this year, but also an incredibly nice person.

Shrenil lost because he wasn’t the better debater in that round. :)
Every round I saw this weekend was really good. Congrats to all the competitors.

First, to answer your question, Craig, Sumi affirmed and Shrenil negated in their semis round. From all I hear it was a good and close round (I was judging the other semis round).
But overall, I have to say I had a very good time judging this weekend-I saw some very impressive novices.
Congrats to all!

honestly craig, i don’t know how i beat Shrenil. i think it was my breast cancer argument :) i also ran
stuff about ppl w/ brown toenails, cows are disgusting and btw, LD no longer needs warrants (thanks to my judges and opponents for putting up w/ that)

when did ld ever require warrants…you’re in the wrong activity
and btw matt aks is such a fraud novice, that guy has to be like 19 years old!! when i was at his school’s tournament a few months ago, i thought he was one of the judges; but maybe that’s just that casual scarsdale look…

Sumi, don’t be modest, that was your round and you won it fair and square, I have no regrets. To Aks… Great Job, and to everyone else at the tournament. Sumi, its not over though, I will hit you again and I will make sure to properly understand your V.C. lol.
