Katie Heil is SCU Champion

In a bit of late news, the annual tournament at Santa Clara University took place this weekend, and, after debating their way through octas onward, Presentation’s Katie Heil and Menlo-Atherton’s Byron Ruby met in the final round. On a 3-0 decision, Katie won the tournament. Additionally, she was top seed and top speaker. Congratulations to both debaters!
Katie is coached by Dan Meyers, Larry McGrath, and Ryan Lawrence. Byron is coached by John McKay.
