I think Vikrum meant that Fabien gave Suraj his spot as a kind gesture, implying that he cares more about the team than his NDR ranking. The reason was because of the outside chance that Suraj and I won our Quarterfinal rounds, we would both hit in Semifinals and Suraj and I would both have bid. Unfortunately, that did not happen, so the sacrifice did not serve its purpose.

More importantly: Mad Props to Lexy for running a truly amazing tournament. It had the best judging I’ve ever seen at any tournament this year, and the free food, great competition, chill atmosphere, early schedule, nice rooms (rare in CA), and more definitely made this tournaments one of the best of the year. Thanks Lexy!
