In the final round of the Auburn Valley Invitational, Sam Kleiner of Catalina Foothills defeated Rebecca Sivitz of Bainbridge on a 3-0 decision to claim the tournament title. Congratulations to both debaters on a great round and tournament!
Sam is coached by Adam Nelson and Max Stevens. Rebecca is coached by Jeff Gans and Kai Zhao.

For those of you curios as to why Washington debater PDVE didn’t clear… Sam Kleiner beat him in round 6 - that’s a pretty intense prelim round.

actually- as rebecca pointed out, peter (and i think the same applies for me) could’ve up picked up our last round, gone 5-1, and still not cleared on speaks. 95 debaters to a quarters break is really tough :(
