What happened to 171? I assume they're neg against 146 since they're both undefeated, not listed and due opposite sides.

Curiousity, in LD, debaters generally have to speak slower and be really nice and all in order to win because many of the judges are parent judges or people with less experience. In Policy (which is typically characterized by really, really fast speaking that I probably couldn't even flow) do the debaters tend to speak slower?/ what kind of adaptions must be made to do Policy debate at Nationals?

I watched Policy finals in Atlanta last summer, and while both teams did keep relatively fast speaking paces, they weren't impossible to understand.

But that's just me, watching the final round.

Rounds can range from full on fast in prelims to slow as hell; i know in the round between 180 and 154 there are 3 lay judges including one communiciations judge (wants u to speak pretty)

I am always surprised to hear how uncommon speed is in some areas of the country when it comes to policy.

Some of the policy rounds here have been debated incredibly slow, and I mean incredibly slow by LD standards. (The final round I saw for 10 minutes at Emory in policy was practically the slowest round I have ever seen in any event.) Others have been debated quite fast.

There have to be a couple things missing

146 vs. 171 College Prep RS-Brookings CW
Bye 155--Hutchinson BR

Can someone confirm that these rounds also took place in Round 10?

I think that one of the missing codes could possibly be the other SFL team. There are 3 SFL teams, and 104, and 105 were two of them....however, the codes 103 and 106 belong to totally different schools...possibly there was a miscoding, because there are 3 SFL teams at Nationals and I keep hearing that 2 are still in and one is out which is SFL 104 SB
