Okay help me out. My son left on sunday morning with the ink drying on his neg case. He broke, so what happens tomorrow?
Do the 52 debaters begin anew, do they drag their record with them and add to it for another cut, or is it now the adrenalin buzzing, gut wrenching sudden death cattle chute typical outround.
Two judges or three
Is it really 52 in the outrounds
thanks for spelling his name correctly.

The remaining debaters start with clean records, and keep debating head to head until they lose two. They will keep matching records, so undefeated’s will debate undefeated’s. Obviously no one will drop after Round 7, but debaters will start dropping every round after Round 8. From Wednesday to Thursday, they will get it down to two for finals.

Nice to know that some kid who wrote his cases at the last minute and has no idea how elim rounds works broke. That’s a sign of encouragement to all the debaters that worked hard and didn’t clear. Thanks NFL!

Dear Yeah,
You must be having a bad day.
I’m sure you read the part where it says my son! No surpise with teenagers, sometimes the parents don’t know the details of everything that goes on.
As for the cases they were worked on with great effort. The neg case, before the last minute revison was not unique.
Maybe, like your elitist attitude.
Thank you Victor for explaining the way the tournament works.
Best regards to all

Also, “Yeah,” what does it matter if someone who breaks has no clue about how outrounds work? How does not knowing how a tournament dictate whether or not someone has any talent in this event?
Bitter jerks…
