Texas UIL State Meet Concludes

The University Interscholastic League of Texas has concluded its 2004 Academic State Meet.

In the 5A finals, on a 2-1 decision, Sandip Gupta (Plano East SG) defeated Grant Manning (Kingwood GM) for the state title. The 4A final round decision was a 3-0; in it, Michael McMillin (Harlingen South MM) won the title over Corbin Cass (Highland Park CC).

On a 3-0 decision, Brittany Allen (Lindale BA) defeated Ralph Mayrell (Wills Point RM) for the 3A title; on a 2-1 decision, Natalie Wolchover (Blanco NW) captured the 2A championship over Megan Loden (Aubrey ML).

Last but not least, Brant Bennett (Dawson BB) was the 1A state champion.
